FAQ
Questions, answered
Is Gapbell free?
Yes. The dashboard, markets overview, news feed, economic calendar, stock pages with one-day to one-month charts, watchlists and 3 alerts are free, and exploring needs no account. Gapbell Pro is $10 a month and adds the screener, futures board, earnings calendar, sector drill-down, long-range charts and up to 100 alerts.
How fresh is the data?
Open pages refresh their numbers every few seconds. Prices come from third-party market-data providers and can lag the exchange: CME futures and the dollar index run about 10 minutes behind and are labelled as such, and every page shows when its data was last updated.
Where do the prices and news come from?
Prices and charts come from third-party market-data providers, including Finnhub. News comes from Finnhub and publisher feeds such as CNBC, MarketWatch, the Financial Times, the New York Times and the Federal Reserve, and every headline links to its source.
Which markets and instruments are covered?
US stocks and ETFs (you can search any US ticker), the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Dow Jones and Russell 2000 indices, the VIX, the dollar index, the 10-year Treasury yield, E-mini and Micro E-mini index futures (NQ, ES, YM, RTY) and Bitcoin.
Do you give investment advice or execute trades?
No. Gapbell is an information terminal. It does not place orders, hold money or recommend securities, and its why-is-it-moving explanations show evidence rather than predictions.
Can I ask an AI about what I see?
Yes. Ask AI buttons on stock pages, news, economic events and the market summary open your own Claude or Perplexity chat in a new tab, with the data on that page already written as a question. Gapbell does not run the AI, does not send anything itself and cannot see your chat. You can also copy the question and paste it into any other assistant.
How do alerts work?
Create price, percent-move, volume, economic-event, earnings or news-keyword alerts. Gapbell checks them on the server every minute and notifies you in the app, by browser push and by email. Free accounts can keep 3 alerts, Pro up to 100.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Gapbell works in any modern browser on phone, tablet and desktop, and can be added to your home screen like an app.
Can I cancel Pro any time?
Yes. Cancel from your billing page and Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Payments are handled by Stripe, so Gapbell never sees your card details.
